Cakir Parfume processes personal data to fulfil perfume orders only. We do not run analytics, ads, or tracking on this website. We do not sell your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to control it. Operated by Cakglo Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Co. No. 16888528). Director: Alphan Cakir.

In short: We collect only what is necessary to ship your perfume to you. No analytics. No advertising pixels. No retargeting. No data sold to third parties. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hi@cakglo.com.

2. What We Collect & Why

When you place an order

Name — to address you and label the parcel
Shipping address — to deliver the bottle
Contact (WhatsApp number or email) — to confirm the order, share tracking, answer questions
Payment reference — to confirm your bank transfer or Shopee transaction

Legal basis: contract performance (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); Indonesian PDP Law UU 27/2022 Pasal 20(2)(b)).

When you visit the website

Our hosting provider (Hostinger International Ltd, servers in Germany) automatically logs basic technical data — IP address, browser, page accessed, timestamp — for the purpose of maintaining server security and preventing abuse. These logs are retained for 14 days and then deleted.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); EU GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. What We Do NOT Use

No Google Analytics
No Facebook Pixel
No advertising / retargeting pixels
No session-recording tools
No cookie banners (because we set no tracking cookies)
No newsletter mailing list (until we explicitly add one with consent)

4. Third-Party Services Loaded by This Website

Google Fonts

We load the Cormorant Garamond font from Google Fonts. When the font loads, your browser exchanges your IP address with Google. We use this purely for typography — no analytics, no tracking. Legal basis: legitimate interest (consistent typography).

YouTube (video facade)

The "Lab" section on our homepage shows three video placeholders. No YouTube content loads until you click a video. Once you click, YouTube (in privacy-enhanced "youtube-nocookie.com" mode) is loaded and Google's privacy policy applies for that interaction. Legal basis: consent (the click).

WhatsApp link

Clicking our WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp. From that moment, Meta's privacy policy applies to your conversation.

Shopee link

Clicking our Shopee button opens Shopee Indonesia. From that moment, Shopee's privacy policy applies.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Order data (name, address, contact) is stored in our internal records held by Alphan Cakir at the Bandung lab and the UK registered office. We do not store payment card details. Bank transfer references are recorded for accounting purposes only.

Website server logs are processed by Hostinger International Ltd (servers in Germany).

6. How Long We Keep Data

Order records: 7 years (required for UK + Indonesian tax records)
WhatsApp conversation history: until you delete it on your device or we close the chat
Email correspondence: 24 months from last contact, then deleted
Server logs: 14 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — we will tell you what we hold (UK GDPR Art. 15; EU GDPR Art. 15; Indonesian PDP Law Pasal 5)
Correct any inaccurate data (Art. 16)
Delete your data, subject to tax-record retention (Art. 17)
Restrict processing (Art. 18)
Receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
Withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3))

8. Your Right to Complain

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to a supervisory authority:

9. Children

This website and our products are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly process data of children. If you believe a child has placed an order, contact us and we will delete the data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the website for 30 days.
